Nature Knows
Under the direction
of the chirping birds,
of the chirping birds,
nature knows its cues.
bows out in the shadows,
receding from the stage.
Daffodils emerge
from below the mulch,
pushing its way downstage.
Budding blooms
hang from above,
rounding out the tableau.
I witness the show
with a standing ovation;
its beauty brings hope.
