Thank You Slice of Life Writers #SOL21

Sometimes something ordinary

Looks quite different as words on a page.

I have flexed my writing muscles,

Creating stories from my

Everyday life as a teacher and mom.

Offering these snippets from my life

Feels liberating now.

Lucky me to have found so much

Inspiration from other slice writers who also

Furnished supportive comments, which

Encouraged me to keep writing and sharing.

Thank you Two Writing Teachers for this wonderful platform to share our stories as part of the March Slice of Life Challenge.

  1. YOU DID IT! I love your acrostic to celebrate the month and lead us into Poetry Month! (This is Marilyn.) For some reason, I can't comment on Blogger accounts with my WordPress account. You are achieving so much as a writer, teacher, director, mother, friend, and probably many more roles!

  2. CONGRATS HEATHER!
I love this poem and how you made it spell out Slice of Life -- each line is fitting and so well put together. I think my favorite line was what you did with the "of"

"Offering these snippets from my life
    Feels liberating now."

It HAS been liberating and I feel like I've learned so much about you through your slices and writing. I'm glad we did this together and we could share our writing this way.
