Stuck
searching,
but nothing
reveals itself,
laughing and taunting.
Frustration builds until
I pick up my pen to write
nothing a particularly
uninspired nonet to end its hold.
I thought this was better than writing about the boys' bathroom shenanigans.
An uninspired nonet becomes inspiration--that's the beauty of writing!
ReplyDeleteHeather, I read through your #SOL23 slices and marveled at the different types of formats you used to express your thoughts. It is a gift to write about nothing. When stuck, inspiration still creeps in. Happy writing.
ReplyDeleteHeather, so funny! I love the nothingness in your nonet. Great ending: "to end its hold." I love how even in the midst of your poem frustration until you picked up your pen. It was kind of as if you were outside of yourself watching it happen; I'm not sure what I'm saying, but I liked that part that half of it was written before you picked up your pen. And that last sentence about bathroom shenanigans made me laugh aloud!
